Tom Brunner advises with COVID-19 Early Treatment Fund to advance their critical grants for trials that seek to identify existing drugs to stop COVID-19 and save lives. As someone at high risk with young grandchildren he wants to hug again, Tom’s committed to helping uncover early treatments that could allow him and everyone to resume a more normal life.

Tom’s day job is leading the Glaucoma Research Foundation, where he helped to quadruple revenue and focus research on collaborative grants to cure glaucoma and restore vision. Prior to GRF Tom enjoyed a successful 30-year career in the ophthalmic laser business, where he helped introduce major advances in eye care including laser treatments for diabetic retinopathy, secondary cataracts, and glaucoma. He was recognized with a "Lifetime Achievement" award from the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
